STARS ARE FIRE was produced by Monkeywood Theatre for the 24:7 Theatre Festival 2012 and subsequently invited to the Library Theatre’s re:play festival at The Lowry before a north west tour supported by Arts Council England. Stars Are Fire was nominated for Best Production in Equity’s Vicky Allen Award and The Co-Operative Group’s Audience Award.
When Carly’s mum dies, her dad decides they need a fresh start ‘back home’ in Northumberland. But Carly’s home is Manchester, it’s what she knows and who she is. As she struggles to adjust to their new, cold, lonely life, she wonders how well her dad really knows her and if he even cares at all.
