RATBAGS is an exciting new play by Curtis Cole and Sarah McDonald Hughes, exploring the themes of right and wrong, power and control. The first sharing of the play was produced by Monkeywood Theatre at the Royal Exchange Theatre in January 2015, supported by the Peggy Ramsay Foundation.

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
“I dunno. Just normal.”

Moss Side, Manchester, 1997 – 2015. Jade and Nathan are just kids, orphans, ratbags, fighting against the odds to stay together forever. They want to be normal, to be good, but as they grow up in an ever changing world with ever changing rules, it’s harder than they ever imagined.
