A Wondrous Place
9th April 2013 by Martin GibbonsTickets are now on sale for A Wondrous Place, a night of new writing by four of the north’s most talented playwrights, including Monkeywood’s Sarah McDonald Hughes. Inspired by the North of England’s spirit of community and co-operation, writers, artists, theatre makers and actors with a passion for this part of the world are coming together to give audiences the chance to see the north of England in surprising and unexpected ways… proving what we all know – that is it ‘eck grim up north!
Get involved in four brand new short stories for the theatre, each offering a fresh and surprising perspective on four amazing North of England cities: Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle. With stories by Luke Barnes, Alison Carr, Matt Hartley and Sarah McDonald Hughes, A Wondrous Place is presented by Northern Spirit in association with Sheffield Theatres, Northern Stage, the Unity Theatre, New Writing North and the Royal Exchange Theatre.
